We don’t have a gastro doctor here so there are traveling doctors that come through for two or three weeks at a time and we never know who we’re going to see. The gastro today was a retired physician from Baylor and he was super nice. He came in and talked to me before the procedure, then talked to Vince right after the procedure, then, once I was awake, he came back and talked to me again.
They were so darned quick. My procedure was scheduled for 8:30 and it was about 8:40 when they took me back and a bit before 10, we were out of there. They were waking me up and I kept telling them I wasn’t ready to wake up . . I wasn’t done sleeping! When they went to get Vince, they told him he needed to come convince me that it was time to leave because I was planning to stay!
Unfortunately, I did have one small polyp which means I’ll have to have colonoscopies every five years now. The doctor said he’s seen many of these and he doesn’t feel there’s a concern with it but it was sent off for examination.
So, looks like you’ll have me around for a while longer! 🙂

Glad to hear the good news. You are part of my day and I’m glad you are staying.

WHAT?!! I had a polyp and had to go back the next year!! That is no fair but you got the better ‘end’ of the deal!! HA

That’s good news! I’m pretty sure your bed at home would be more comfortable for sleeping though…LOL

Good to hear!

I view these procedures as a life-saving inconvenience. I get to have them every two years, but I’m still here to whine about it, so that’s a good thing! 🙂 Glad everything went so quickly and well. Hope you get a nap.

Always a good thing to have you around.

Every 5 years, yuk. That’s me too. Had my colonoscopy in January and they found polyps. My appointment had an added twist: I was all hooked up with an IV and heart monitor ready to be rolled in to the room when the fire alarm went off! It took 4 nurses to get me ready to leave and when we got to the door, everyone was told to go back in. Whew. I wasn’t looking forward to going out in that gown in 40 degree weather!
