I can’t stop taking pictures of the blooms! The best news is that we have blooms forming on two of the apricot trees.
The bark on that branch, at least in this picture, looks a lot like a cherry tree, but the trunk of the tree doesn’t.
Today, which may not be the same tomorrow, the apple blooms are my favorites! They’re so pretty.
The pink gives way to white as the blooms open. Notice the bee there pollinating for us!
The blooms in the cherry tree give me hope . . cautious optimism. Getting cherries here is such a longshot but one thing for sure – without cherry trees, we’ll never get cherries so we try our best.
Look at all the blooms in that little pear tree. It does this every year and never makes pears. There are 10 pear trees, several different varieties, so it isn’t a cross pollination issue. Maybe this year we’ll get lucky and get some pears. See the tree just south of it . . the one just behind the blooming tree?
The blossoms are almost gone on the plum trees. Probably by next week, I’ll be able to see tiny little plums.
Such anticipation this time of year.

I work for a university, and there are some decorative trees blooming right now. The bees are working like crazy…I walked by it, and the tree sounded like it was buzzing…at least the bees were so busy they didn’t even notice me.
