A little calculating tells me that there are 120 rows in the Siren Song Shawl. Since I’m not counting the first day of the KAL, nor the last day because it ends at noon EST. So, I need to get 14 rows done per day.
Day 1 – 3/6 – 14
Day 2 – 3/7 – 28
Day 3 – 3/8 – 42
Day 4 – 3/9 – 56
Day 5 – 3/10 – 70
Day 6 – 3/11 – 84
Day 7 – 3/12 – 98
Day 8 – 3/13 – 112
Day 9 – 3/14 – 126 (120 + a few rows to spare!)
Yesterday was Day 3 so I should have had 42 rows done. Those first couple of days with the trips back and forth to Abilene and all that was going on, I started Day 3 with 23 rows done so I was a little behind but I managed to get 17 rows done so I’m two short of the target for being finished by the deadline. I’ve done 40 rows. Hopefully by the end of the day today I’ll be at least where I should be with 56 rows done.
It takes an average of 14 minutes per row so doing 14 rows per day takes about 3-1/2 hours per day. I’d swear I’m knitting 6 hours and still not getting ahead of the schedule.
