Last year I started these litchi tomatoes from seeds. I transplanted them in the garden but kept a couple in pots.
I brought the potted plants into the greenhouse and they’re doing great.
Can you see the thorns? The covering on the fruit also has thorns. These things are impossible to pick without drawing blood but they’re delicious. They’re more like sour cherries than tomatoes and they make great jam. I’m happy that I can keep these two plants in pots, bring them in the greenhouse for the winter and keep the same plants going for years.
A few days ago, I ordered more seeds and may plant more in pots. Life seems a bit topsy turvy right now and the garden is the last thing on my mind but . . we’ll see how things shake out.

Those things are vicious looking!!! I don’t think I’d like them enough to bleed in order to enjoy them! LOL Never knew any tomatoes had thorns.

That sounds like the perfect tomato plant, if you can wear thick gloves!
