The elderberries I ordered from Stark Bro.’s are amazing! I ordered 10 bare root plants. They were shipped very quickly, arrived in perfect condition and within 2 days of planting, all had green sprouting everywhere. There are shoots coming up from the root, from the woody stems.

You can see green on the plant in the foreground and in the background. These are all 2 – 3 year old plants so there’s a chance we could have a few elderberries this year. I won’t be disappointed if we don’t but I’ll be really excited if we do.
The problem is going to be getting them planted. Vince isn’t able to do it right now but I think they’re pretty happy in the greenhouse . . for now.

Those look great. Will they just grow in the pots, if you leave them?
