Yesterday morning early I finished the fade shawl.
There were so many ends to weave in because one yarn had several joins in it and I had to cut and re-join those with a better join, and having used 6 colors, that was another 12 tails to weave in. I took it with me to the doctor’s office and got all the tails woven in while waiting to see the doctor . . while listening to everyone else in the waiting room cough and gasp . . while probably sharing their flu germs with us.
I love how it turned out. I love the concept of how it’s made, I love using yarn leftover from other projects. I think I’ll make more of these (but I always say that!)
I was going to show a picture of it with my fade socks because most of the same yarns were used but the shawl is still in the car from yesterday’s trip to the doctor.

You missed by multi colored Rye socks that I made for myself! I wore them today and I love the feel!! They are so warm and soft! I may never take them off! I know now why Pat likes the ones I did for him! I started Socks on A Plane for him and the yarn does a beautiful fade in and out! Wait until you see it! I had no idea it was going to turn out this good!
