You all know me well enough by now to know that I would never try to talk anyone into buying yarn . . but . . there’s a Flash Challenge at ESK for Valentine’s Day! The one rule I have about buying yarn is this: Never order yarn on Tuesday or Wednesday! You can probably guess my reasoning behind that rule . . it may arrive on Saturday. Oh, wait . . I think that rule no longer applies. We have a new mail lady for Saturday and I doubt she will call me to tell me I have a package. She’ll just stick a slip in the mail box and my regular mail lady will deliver it on Monday. I’m hoping that’s how it works.
But, all rules are out when there’s a Flash Challenge. I did order a bit . . not a whole lot but a bit.
I’ve been wanting to make Novelle so I ordered Northbound’s BFL/Silk laceweight in “Fiery”. I think this will make a nice holiday shawl (Christmas and Valentine’s Day!) and it will earn me the “Tiny Needles” badge.
There were a few new Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere colors that were already in my cart. They look like they will be good for fading projects so I got those too.
It was a Flash Challenge . . there are prizes. I had to do it. Besides, it’s Valentine’s Day!

Do you know that USPS has a “informed delivery” option. When the mail is scanned, it takes a picture and emails you on a daily basis. There is even a spot where they tell you if a package is scheduled to be delivered. It doesn’t show the larger envelopes, magazines, and some bulk mail junk, but it is helpful to know if some checks or bills are in the mailbox. Go to usps dot com and it’s under quick tools.
I have a nice mail lady – if I have a package, she brings it, my mail and even the newspaper up to the door. The weekend sub still leaves the rest of the mail in the mailbox.
It’s a good thing that I am not into knitting, I have enough fabric to deal with….

Why didn’t you send me an email? I ended up missing it. :0(
