This is my cousin’s dog and I love her. I would be so happy if I had a dog just like Sunshine. She loves to be held. She loves to snuggle. If I’m sitting and knitting and she’s on my lap, she keeps using her paw to try to snag my hand and get me to pet her.
As far as I can see, she’s about as perfect as a dog can be.
Last night she stretched out out my lap and slept while I knitted. This is what a dog is supposed to do! I love Rita but Rita will not sit with me and she does not like being snuggled. I wouldn’t trade Rita for Sunshine . . and Sunshine’s mom would never let her go but dang, I love this dog and I have a real hard time liking other people’s dogs.

Judy I wonder if why Rita is like she is, is because you have no idea what her life was prior to she adopting ya’ll. She has learned so much in the little time you have had her. She is so very fortunate to have a loving mom and dad like you and Vince. She might not snuggle like you want, but she is still a very good girl from what you tell us about her. She is a cutie, and so is Sunshine.
Judy Laquidara says
I’m sure her past has something to do with her discomfort at being held.
Marilyn Smith says
Judy, did you see the sweetheart that our Vicky had in her lap?
Susan says
You’re just gonna have to share, then! And visit often.
Nelle Coursey says
My Quincy does this. He loves to sit in my lap and he sleeps right next to me. He has his own pillow between us. He sleeps with his head on the pillow most of the time. Sometimes he gets down at my feet. They are too funny.
