Yesterday I made the sausage rice casserole. I used regular breakfast sausage from Aldi and it isn’t very spicy. I remembered after tasting the casserole that I always used spicy sausage with it.
Other than needing a bit more spice, it was exactly as I had remembered. With all the celery, bell pepper, onion and sausage, it tastes a bit like Thanksgiving. It madea lot! This was the smaller of two casserole dishes and we only ate about one/third of this one. Leftovers! Yay!
I only partially baked the other casserole, took it out of the oven and froze it so we’ll have that later.
I’m so glad I came across the recipe and glad it tasted like I remembered it tasting.

Sounds YUMMY! Think it’d work with the Lipton soup with the straight noodles? 🙂

I had no idea they still made the Lipton noodle soup with the “O”s!

New favorite! I made this tonight, In the IP! Delicious! I did have to improvise a bit since I didn’t have everything listed and I don’t do any Liptons because I’m allergic to the MSG in it. Ken thought it needed a bit more moisture, not me, I loved it! Thanks Judy!

Made this yesterday up here in Saskatchewan, Canada. Had brown rice so it was a little crunchy and I didn’t realize that I should chop the sausage up in little pieces so they were big chunks. Also used the regular Lipton Chicken Noodle but my kids ate it all up and loved it. Will be making it again for sure! Thanks for the inspiration. Serve too many prepackaged processed things so at least I know what’s in this and nice to have good veggies like peppers and celery in this!

Glad you like it and the family approve!

Judy, do you have a link for this – also what are the little ‘O’s in it?
