Today is the first day I’ve gotten back to walking since probably August when my knee began giving me problems. I’ve reached my goal of 8,000 steps. I came in, fixed a big glass of water, sat down to look at email and facebook and have this from a friend.
This is my absolute favorite flavor and I can’t get it here. She wrote “In the freezer waiting for you!” I’m going to her house in a few days. I told her “I’m taking it under the stairs and sitting with the cat, eating it and not sharing!”
Why don’t we have Bride’s Cake in our stores? Oh, wait . . maybe I should be thankful we don’t have it. I’d have to be walking 16,000 steps per day if we had that ice cream here.

When the Blue Bell factories closed in Texas, I thought I was going to have to wait FOREVER for them to simply reopen. I had toured the one in Brenham (and admired the stainless steel pipes). I feared the worst … When BB reopened, one guy from work travelled 4 hours to Houston and brought back chocolate and vanilla cups to the office. It was like gold! (I still have a hard time finding my ‘favorite’). Take your ice chest and bring back bunches for your freezer! It will be worth it!

It’s a bit far to try to bring back ice cream. I’d have to use dry ice and besides, our freezers are full. I’m trying to use enough stuff out of them to get the hams from the fridge into the freezer.
