Just now I was going through the pictures I had taken today. I must have been starving when I fixed my breakfast this morning. I think the problem was with the avocado. I usually eat a small one but this morning, all I had left were big ones.
Yogurt with strawberries and a little honey. Egg yolks (I don’t like the whites). Cheese. Avocado. I didn’t eat all the avocado. Since I don’t have any small avocados, I guess I’ll just leave that off tomorrow and not try to eat a whole big one. If I cut it, it will be yucky by lunch so . . I’ll just do without my avocado in the morning.

I have half of an avacado on buttered in the morning. I keep the seed in the remaining half and press plastic wrap tightly on the exposed flesh. Refrigerate. It is fine the next morning. If anything I have to scrape a tiny bit of brown from it.

I have an avocado saver thingy. You keep the seed in the unused half and place it upside down against this plastic avocado shaped bowl. Works like a charm!

I read this today on One Good Thing website. I have no idea if it works but she has never steered me wrong on other items.
Storing Avocados
Keeping an unused half of an avocado fresh is a tricky business. One way to do it is to put your avocado half into a small, airtight container along with a small chunk of onion. The sulphur compounds released from the onion help to preserve the avocado, and you can keep it fresh for a few days this way. (I haven’t noticed any lingering onion scent or taste in the avocado itself, but if you’re really sensitive to onions, you may want to steer clear.)
