I think I mentioned the other day about the checker at Aldi remembering how much I like the lobster.
Sunday when Vince and I went to Aldi, they had the Frenched Rack of Lamb that I love so much. They had a little “$1 off” sticker but each package was about $14 or $15 and, even with $1 off, that was more than I was willing to pay.
Yesterday I went to knitting and I told my friend that I had a feeling the rack of lamb was going to be marked half off. I ran in there, didn’t even stop to get a cart, went straight to the meat cooler and there they were . . 1/2 off!
Lamb
I grabbed all four packages and went to the front to check out. Who do you think was checking? Yep, same girl. I said “Oh, no! Not you! You already know my buying habits too well!” She laughed, and said “You must eat a lot of lobster and lamb!” When I reached for them to leave, I said “I feel like I’m doing something wrong!” and laughed. She was laughing and said “You are! You just saved $30.”
We’ll have four meals of lamb and each will cost only about $7.50. Not bad for one of our very favorite meats.
Guess what we’re having for lunch today! I love that it’s so quick to fix and so, so tasty! Vince should be home in less than half an hour. I am ready for lunch. Lamb, baked sweet potatoes and green beans from the garden (canned, not fresh!).

I’ll have to check the local Aldi for the lamb. I’ll be going there this week since the latest flyer has hass avocados for 39 cents. Sprouts has them for 88 cents.

Your Aldi has such good deals! Now I’ll have to watch for lamb, too. I was there yesterday and they didn’t have lobster tails. The checker said he only saw them once. I did get 5 packages of mushrooms at 69 cents each! I want to try out the food dehydrator I got there last time…

Wow, you sure are lucky to have such great grocery deals. Food is soo expensive in northern New England,I spend an arm and a leg at the grocery store each week, never,ever see the deals you write about. We have one grocery chain in our area.

I went to ALdi yesterday in Richmond Va. They had hams 50% of the lowest price. I only got two but I might go back today. The hams were marked down to $7.35, the half off that. What a deal.
