There was no knitting report last night because, despite my thinking I’d get two or three blocks done, I got one done and it was way late when I finished it and I was tired.
I’m loving the feel of the project. Here’s the picture from Saturday night.
It’s easy. It’s mindless. It’s interesting. What’s not to love?
I started thinking about making Addie one to match her new room. I would use the 220 SW so it can be tossed in the washer and dryer. The original blanket has 100 blocks and finishes at about 50′ x 50′. I could make it a bit smaller, maybe cast on fewer stitches, but I’m not sure it should be smaller than 50′ x 50′. The problem is that it actually uses two skeins of yarn per color if using worsted weight yarn so that would make it pretty expensive for a five year old with a big dog in the house.
But . . who cares about the yarn budget? 🙂 These are the colors I picked out. Eat, Sleep, Knit has had a big run on the Cascade 220 SW and they’re out of almost every green I wanted to use so these aren’t really the greens I would use. I was thinking pink and lime green . . those go well together but I’d have to check with Nicole. Addie might prefer pink and purple. Maybe I’ll wait til I’m there and show her some drawings with pink and purple and another one with pink and lime . . or whatever colors she thinks she’d like and then she can choose the colors.
Just something else to plan and dream of making . .

Love the way you think! If that makes you happy then do that! You have a good heart Judy!!! Addie will love what you make too!

It’s beautiful!

She probably needs a quilt to go with it! Hint hint. Do it as a sew along so we can do it too!

Hooray! Someone who can start planning another project long before the current one is finished. At least I know I have good company in all my current and future creative activities. Today I was planning a couple of quillows and suddenly found myself also planning a quilt.
