This is really not going as I had planned but, as always, I have a really good excuse.
I want a gift for someone and I’d prefer it be something I made. I explained to Vince what I wanted to do and how much it would cost and he said “That sounds reasonable”. I immediately called 911 because I think there’s something seriously wrong with him. No, I didn’t call 911. I calmly said “Thank you!” and ran to my computer.
Because I can’t say who the gift is for, nor can I say what I’m making because there’s a chance she could see it here, I’ll just have to leave you kinda hanging.

I went with #2 because I’m afraid #1 may be dark enough that the design doesn’t show up.
Now, here’s another problem . . I can’t show this in my Nightly Knitting Reports because after about 1″, it’s going to be obvious what I’m making. Darn. I’ll talk about it but I won’t show pictures. I’m excited to have a super secret project. Who thinks I can keep this secret til the end? Not me!

I’m kind of in the same boat. I was perfectly happy with all the yarn I have and projects in queue until my LYS emailed me about new Malabrigo. Not wanting to hurt their feelings I visited the shop and was blown away with colors I didn’t even know existed on Rios. I left with only 2 skeins of Valentina, an incredible pastel pink, and 2 skeins of Cirrus Gray, which is a lovely faded denim. Well, that put me over my final punches on my shoppers card and now I get 20% off, so I think I’ll go back and get some more Cirrus because it will make such great hats for guys next Christmas.
