A few of the websites are starting to work. Still not Ravelry or Accuweather. Who needs Accuweather . . we have a blizzard blowing in tonight and I’ll be watching the temp all night so it’s a good thing that website is non-accessible for me.
Internet and trash pickup . . that’s what I miss living out here. What I don’t miss . . neighbors, car horns, red tag man, sirens, people knocking on my door . . I can live without internet (just joking!) and trash pickup. I have to remind myself sometimes of the advantages of living out here when the internet is acting up . . which is pretty much always these days. It’s ok . . for now, this is where we need to be.
So, tonight Vince’s package finally arrived at Walmart. I didn’t even ask what was in it. It was small. Could be diamonds for his lovely wife, but I doubt it. I thought he said sweatpants but I think it was too small for that. Oh, speaking of sweatpants, those gosh awful blue ones turned up over the weekend. I never did see them go through the laundry and you can bet when I do see them, they’re going to get lost.
The wind is blowing like crazy and the temp has dropped a lot. I would tell you how much but I can’t get to either weather site. Heck . . it’s just money . . I’ll get on the hot spot box. 21° in a bit over two hours. That’s how much the temp has dropped since we left home. If you count the “real feel”, it’s dropped a bit over 30°. I am glad to be inside. Vince has to be at work early in the morning, which means . . you know who has chicken duty and depending on how much precip we get tonight, the chicken doors will all be frozen shut. They’ll be better off inside anyway . . especially since their water inside won’t be frozen and I dumped all their outside water and I’ll be having to haul water from the house out here . . in 20° weather. Tell me again why I have chickens! 🙂
I told Vince I’d go to Walmart with him if he’d go to Cotton Patch for dinner and he agreed but then he wanted to go to Aldi after we went to Walmart. All this time it’s getting colder and colder and the wind is blowing like crazy and I’m thinking . . I have to put the chickens up and someone has to put all these groceries away and most of it had to go in the shop fridge. Brrr . . it’s cold and I don’t like cold.
It was very nice to see that all over town, except the highway in front of our house, that the city/county/state . . someone . . has put down de-icer. Thankfully Vince only has 4 miles to go before he gets to a road that has the de-icing solution on it.
Oh, great . . just remembered I didn’t turn the heat on in the sewing room. Back out into cold . .

Just saw that there’s icy mix headed your way tonight. Take care!

20 would seem like a heat wave here. The high today was something like -2. Wind chill was about -34. Still going to be cold tomorrow, but starting to warm up on Wednesday. Supposed to be over 50 by Friday, but I’ll believe it when I see it. Be careful of the ice…..

Sorry you’re dealing with so much cold weather this year. My guess is that Vince knows the sweatpants will disappear if you see them and he’ll keep them hidden from view when not in use. LOL!

Great something to look forward to. We get your weather about a day after you

They keep delaying school by 2 hours and then cancel for wind chill in iowa. 1 day last week, today, and tomorrow is already Iowa. I sure don’t remember schools doing that when I was little! Im.ready for Spring or a padded room!!! I only have to keep the little people alive….glad we don’t have any animals.

I’m sick of winter! We’re getting that storm over the next couple of days and dropping at night down to 10 tomorrow night and 14 Wednesday night, and i”m not so thrilled about it. We’re pretty sure to get snow tomorrow, too. 80% chance from 1 pm on, and less before that. Brrr. and Grrrr. LOL But I’m not in Alaska! I don’t live at the North (or the South!) Pole! I’m not camped out half way up Mt. Everest. Let’s see, what else? I’m not in a village in the middle of the Alps! LOL
Hoping you stay warm and Vince stays safe on the roads tomorrow!

Cuddle up and stay warm 🙂
