Maybe it’s because he’s young and everyone that age has a good memory. I’ve always been amazed at what Chad can remember. We were talking Friday and here’s an interesting part of that conversation:
Chad: Remember that really good chicken dish that you made when you and Vince were on Weight Watchers?
Me: Hmm . . no!
Chad: It had yogurt and granola on top.
Me: Don’t remember that!
Chad: It was when we lived on 1389.
Me: Oh, my goodness, Chad! We left there in 2002. I don’t remember what I cooked this morning!
Chad went on to explain to me that he had tried to re-create that dish and it had turned out really good. How on earth does he remember something I cooked 16 years ago?
I’m thinking (1) It was either really super good and he’s been thinking about it for 14 years or (2) I mentioned “yogurt” and “granola” and there was a big fight at the table because those do not sound like things he would have eaten back then.
One thing for sure . . when he was 14, you can bet he didn’t tell me he liked it. 🙂

this is so funny! our one son would never eat any thing GREEN…no popsicles, koolaid, veggies..NADA. Now he eats sushi! The youngest one will not tell me he likes something but will be SURE to tell me he does NOT like something- he is 22! I am finally making food that I like!
