I probably say this after every finished project but these were the most fun socks to make. I suppose it’s evident that I had fun because I made these in three or four days.
I used five skeins of yarn . . all stash yarn, the oldest being from July, 2014. I’m not thrilled with the “fade” from the purple to the rusty pink near the toe but I think the rest of the fades look great.
I’m loving making two at a time and being done with both of them at once.
Since I have over half of each skein of yarn left, I think I’m going to make All My Stitches. It’s a different kind of fade technique so it will be nice to have the same colors and compare the techniques. I had planned to do a cardi but . . I’ll do that later.

Speedy Crafter badge for sure – you finished those very quickly. So pretty.

I like them. It will be fun to compare your two techniques.

Pretties socks ever it is a shame you can’t see them when you wear shoes.

I really like the pink next to the purple! I think it looks great!! I so enjoy your knitting. Wish I could learn more than I know.

These are very pretty. They are much fancier and more planning required not to mention the right color of yarns to make the fade work. I guess I will stick to the Scrappy socks I’ve been making to finish up bits and pieces of leftover sock yarns. As someone said, not many people see them and both types are fun to knit. AND I don’t have as much stash yarn to pull from. 🙂

I love them!! They are so pretty and again, I think the fade is pretty!

They are really cute socks, and I guess the good news is that the first fade you’re not crazy about will mostly be hidden in your shoes!
