We’re not going to make it til midnight tonight . . for the first time in many years, I’m going to be in bed at least two hours before January 1 arrives. I’m tired. My knee hurts. Vince made mint juleps tonight. He likes them way stronger than I do. Give me Dr. Pepper any day!
Happy New Year to you all. There’s no way I can convey to you all how much you mean to me. I love how you interact with your comments and emails. I love how some of you are always ready to keep me grounded, while some of you have ideas as crazy as my own ideas. I appreciate your comments. I appreciate those of you who read and rarely (or never) comment. I can’t imagine how boring and maybe even a little lonely my life would be without each of you.
Thank you all. I hope 2018 is the best year ever for you. I hope you’re all happy, healthy, productive . . and I hope you never have to drink a mint julep that Vince made! 🙂
Goodnight . . from the Granny who could not stay up til midnight!!

Happy New Year to you, Vince, Rita and the cats. Maybe a little alcohol is what your knee needs. 🙂 My brother’s doctor told him to have two alcoholic drinks a day for his cholesterol and brother says he doesn’t know about the cholesterol but his knees sure feel better!

Happy New Year Judy! I will not be staying up until midnight either. My hubby and I just had Russian Tea (you remember that tang drink?) with Brandy. We have been fighting what ever crud is going around and that warms you all the way to your toes. I know that someone in the neighborhood will set off fireworks but I am hoping I can just roll over and ignore it.

I haven’t stayed up to ring in the new year in ages!! Guess I figure it’ll b the next day when I wake up like it is every other day! ? I don’t need to toot a horn or bang a pot to signify the marching of time..it’ll happen anyway. Happy New Year, Judy (and if I were to have a drink, it’d be your bourbon cream in root beer!).

I have less than an hour to go and I’m not sure I’m going to make it.
Happy New Year, my friend.

Happy New Year, Judy! And Happy New Year to Vince and the critters, too. Thanks for taking us along on your knitting, cooking and other adventures. I’m the caregiver for my husband, and can’t get out very often, but I can travel the world with the internet.

Happy New Year Dear Friend. I am old enough to know the New Year can arrive without me. Sleep well!

Happy New Year Judy… wishing all the best for you and yours in 2018! Oh I’ll be up at midnight, not because it is New Year… I’m always up this late… and then I sleep late… different schedules for different people…works for me…and the local pyromaniac with his stash of fireworks would assure I’d be up to see midnight … really wish he’d lose his matches.

Judy, I am one of your readers who hardly ever comments, but I appreciate and enjoy your blog. I started reading when you were focusing more on quilting, but I continue reading for the life stories and your upbeat and energetic way of doing everything.I have learned a lot from you.

Happy New Year Judy to you and Vince. I’m sure it’s been years since I have commented, but you are the one blog I read and look forward to. Your life is so very different than mine, but I love your writing style and the fun you are always having and the super positive outlook you have on life. May you be blessed in 2018. I’ve followed you for years and have picked up quilting (because of you) and knitting (because of you) and sewing with pdf patterns (because of you). I never got into spinning and I don’t have any animals in my life but I sure love to hear about all the adventures you have in your life. Here’s to a bright and happy 2018!

Being a night owl as you know, I was up way past midnight last night, but did sleep in a bit later this morning. Hope you had a great first day in 2018. It is so cold here in St. Louis that staying under the covers was mandatory. I so enjoy your blog and hearing about your life and fun day-to-day activities. I’ll be following you in 2018 and learning lots of interesting things. Happy New Year to you and Vince.
