It isn’t very late, especially since I’m usually such a night owl but between the road trip today and Vince’s crazy actions in bed last night, I’m tired. Get your mind out of the gutter! 🙂 Vince snores so I keep earplugs nearby. Sometimes if I go to to sleep first, his snoring doesn’t bother me. We don’t usually eat dinner and last night we had all you can eat seafood buffet so we were both stuffed, and that almost always results in major snoring. Plus, I took a 3 hour nap yesterday! So, we went to bed about 11, and I never sleep well the day before a road trip. I was still reading at 1 a.m. By that time, Vince’s snoring was loud enough that I put in my earplugs even while reading. When I finally put the Kindle down, and fell asleep, he was making some kind of weird flopping around like a fish out of water and it wiggled the entire bed. After about the fifth time, I got up at 2:15 and went to sleep on the sofa. Then I woke up a little after 4, got up to go to the kitchen to see what time it was . . went back to bed and finally got up at 6 so I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night.
How did I get off on that story? Oh . . yes . . poor, pitiful Judy! No, really . . I’m really tired and had to make myself finish this heel.
Last night I went ahead and put the heel instructions for these socks on my iPad and I knitted pretty much non-stop for the whole time we were in the car today (at least 6 hours). I got the foot and gusset done, then tonight I got the heel turned.
All I have left to do is the leg! Yay! Easy! But, using those tiny needles hurts my hands so after having knitted so much today with those, I’ll probably work on something with larger needles tomorrow.
For now . . all I want to do is get in bed . . my bed . . and I want to sleep til at least 9 in the morning. Good luck with that! Goodnight!

you might want to convince Vince to have a sleep study done – he sounds just like my husband did last year. It took me a year to convince mine to have a sleep study done and by then he had a little heart damage caused by sleep apnea and high blood pressure. I was sleeping on the couch more than the bed because he was so loud and still had the ear plugs in out in the living room — I don’t give medical advice so won’t say anymore – just that what you wrote sounded just like my husband last year

Oh BOY! JUDY! Been there, done that! My DH snored for a long time and it drove me insane. Finally made the decision to have separate bedrooms since even a king-sized bed and ear plugs did nothing. Now I often have fitful, poor quality sleep (even with the aid of a nightly sleeping pill) that I feel tired a good deal of the time. There are times when I’m up at 4am (I HATE that!) which usually requires a short nap later in the day. Not sleeping well affects so many other things. UGH
