Our time in Louisiana is ending. We head home as soon as we get everything packed up and the last bit of cleaning done.
This is the view awaiting us each morning. This morning, Vince said “It’s our last day!” I was making a sad face and he said “We can stay!” Yep, YOU call my uncle and tell him we’re never leaving. You call my friend and tell her the chickens are hers now. You call your employer and tell them you’re not coming back. I think we’d better go home as scheduled.
Eight days we were here and only had to go to Walmart three times. It’s 30 miles each way to Walmart so a 60 mile round trip to Walmart. Since we went three times and he probably would have gone four times except for my complaining tells me that we need to buy a place farther from Walmart.
We go home and digest, discuss and debate all the things we’ve learned. We’ll continue to watch the real estate listings, we have a realtor looking for places for us . . who knows what will happen with us in the next few years.
We’ve had a great week. It was relaxing, lots of naps. It was informative, lots of reading, looking at areas, learning more about where we want to be and where we don’t want to be, learning what we can get if we are determined to stay within the budget. Now it’s back to real life – job, chores, home . . both of us would rather stay here!

I bet your uncle would like it if you stayed.

Have you thought of asking your Uncle if he would like to sell? Never know until you ask.
