We’ve had a few days of lots of family time and it’s been so nice. I haven’t touched my knitting. This morning my uncle and Vince went for a walk. Sherry and I stayed home and got some cooking started. We’re having prime rib, baked potatoes, salad, rolls and cleaning out some leftovers in the fridge for our big meal today. Sherry is making most of the sides for tomorrow – green bean casserole, spinach madeline, carrot souffle, some kind of pink sweet salad. I’m making macaroni and cheese, baking a ham and making a chocolate pie and rolls, but they’re actually storebought rolls. There are four of us so we’ll have lots of leftovers.
This morning I was able to get a bit of knitting done. I’m still thinking about where I’m going to add the solid green in order to have enough yarn to make this as big as I want it to be.
A few rows here, a few rows there .. I’m soon going to have to make a plan for that green yarn. I actually like this color as much as I liked the color I started with so I’m not sad that I had to change yarns.

I’m still trying to figure out what this is. In the beginning it looked like a long stocking hat. Not any more . I’m still guessing.

I just wanted to tell you that because of your blog I signed up for the GAL last year but really didnt “get it” so didnt do anything, This year tho? I bought quite a few patterns – and knit up most of them!!! 7 of them (of course 4 of them were dischcloths!!!) and I still plan to do a few more. AND I won a coupon! So thank you for enabling this most fun winter project (but can anyone ever keep up with the chats on this site???)
