Last night my friend from home and I were texting. She still lives in our hometown, which used to be a sleepy little town with no traffic. Big industry has moved in recently and traffic is a nightmare. She had texted me that it was taking forever to get on I-10 . . like sitting through red light after red light. She finally got moving, did what she had to do, then on her way back, got stopped by a train. The trains have always gone through there and some of them were so long.
I was surprised she knew it was from Green Acres but her delays getting on the interstate made me so thankful to be living where we live.

I got that theme song stuck in my head for about a month last year. Almost drove me crazy. LOL

I believe the traffic gets worse from Thanksgiving to Christmas…all over, not just shopping centers. I’m getting tired of planning ANY trips out of the house, and routes, around expected traffic. I do that all year (avoiding school traffic and coming-home traffic), but it’s worse now and for more of the day. Bah humbug!
I don’t suppose you notice any difference out there!

There certainly are advantages to living in the sticks!
