Thanks for all the tips. I have thought and thought and searched and still haven’t found them. I ordered new ones in September, 2016. I try to order a few every year. When the new ones came in, I took pictures, then added them to the plastic tub where I keep them all. Also in there are the cutting tools/shapes, the measuring sticks . . some need the dough thicker than others. No, I didn’t loan them to anyone.
What I do remember is that I debated about whether I should store them in the shop. It gets so hot in there and even though they’re made from some kind of resin, I think I decided not to store them in the shop. I’m pretty sure I didn’t store them in the kitchen because it’s so small and I have so little space, things I use once a year just cannot take up space in the cabinets in the kitchen.
So . . where did I put them? I’ve looked under the beds. I’ve looked in the closets in the extra bedrooms. I’ve looked on the shelves of the laundry room.
I’m betting that I left them sitting out, trying to decide where to store them, and then company was coming and I stuck them . . somewhere . . out of sight!
The good news is that the springerle rolling pins are with my other rolling pins. When I found those, I said to Vince “At least I found the rolling pins.” He said “The molds have to be nearby!” I thought . . for a normal person but not for me!
I’ll just use the rolling pins and keep an eye out for that container of molds. Maybe I’ll find them before next Christmas. I’ll probably find them in January and then lose them again before next Chrirstmas. Maybe I’ll find them when we move some day. Maybe Chad and Nicole will find them when going through all my stuff after I’m gone. At least Nicole will appreciate them. 🙂

I actually started a LIST on my Computer of where I put odd things. Now to remember where the list is! Word?

I write things I only use once or twice a year on my calendar. So I would write where I put my whatevers on my current calendar and transfer to my new one when I get it. Because I cannot live without my paper calendar. And I laughed out loud when you looked under the bed because that is always my go to phrase when someone asks me where they put something. Did you look under your bed?
I hope they show up soon because you have some really cool molds that need to be used!

I manage to do the same thing and it drives me crazy. How about where Boots is?

I was thinking that, since you don’t let it get too hot for him.
On my front: I’m expecting a replacement notion to arrive today (finally!). Who wants to bet that I find the original when I go to put away the used replacement?

maybe the plastic tub somehow got mixed up with the knitting tubs. Think about it..you were planning to store the molds someplace and on the way, stopped in to check out some yarn for a project, sat the tub of molds down, found the yarn and then put back all the tubs in a neat and tidy way…being so excited to find the yarn that would work for that project…

That makes sense! Something I would do! lol

Check the shop anyway…maybe you changed your mind?

I’m good at storing things in “really safe places”. I go looking for one thing and I find something else I didn’t remember putting there…I’m getting ready to remodel my kitchen. I’m sure I’ll find all sorts of things I thought I lost! LOL

Oh, boy! I got my husband his annual hunting/fishing permit and a fishing permit for my son-in-law a week or so ago. a couple days ago I got to wondering where I’d put them. Looked in the usual places…nope. Found them, but was beginning to think I was losing it. I could have printed them out again since I save them on my computer until I’m sure I won’t need to do that, but REALLY?????? This is why I don’t buy Christmas gifts year round and tuck them away…I would have to buy again because I put them in such a safe place even I can’t find them.

I certainly won’t be of much help. Today I was working on an appliquéd pincushion and needed a scrap of black wool for a sheep tail. Was wondering where to find that scrap of black and then realized I am staring straight at my tower of wire baskets full of wool scraps. Yes, I had my glasses on! Time for another Dr Pepper!
