Last night Tractor Supply had some kind of sale so we had to run back to town.
It seemed very funny. We drove to town for six bags of chicken feed. Who would ever have thought this would be our life these days!
Excuse the dirty windows in Vince’s car. I need to remember to clean the passenger side window. The sun was setting and it was so pretty. We were both watching for deer. They’re just awful right now. We see them dead along the roadsides all the time.
We made it home without seeing one, started down our driveway and a big doe came bounding across the driveway. She almost ran into us and went sailing over a low fence. Vince started driving again and probably 20 yards ahead, here came another one. Vince had to hit the brake to keep from hitting her. I’m thinking . . I believe I’d take the RTV down to the end of the driveway and start hunting from that spot.
Vince said “Those deer are probably saying . . What the heck? Those old people are never out this time of night.”
We were both laughing thinking how crazy it would be if we hit a deer in our own driveway. I’m glad we didn’t and those two does are probably glad too.

I can totally relate! The deer around us are in mega numbers and are out and wandering, now that the major gun hunt season is over. It’s black-powder and bow season, now……a lot quieter in the woods and the deer seem to be quite bold!

I never thought you would hear me say, “I don’t like to drive at night” but now we say it all the time and are rarely out after dark!

When my parents were both alive and healthy they were going home one evening. They lived on a gravel county road and they saw a huge buck. My mom stopped the car right beside the busk. He backed up and rammed their car twice!! He hit them twice!!! Then went running off! Dented the car door! But it was an older car, not like the aluminum cans today!!
