Yesterday morning when Rita and I were leaving to go to Abilene, I got to the end of my driveway and there were three deer at the fence across the street, staring at me. I sat there probably over a minute; me looking at them and them looking at me. It looked like they were just standing there waiting for me to get to the end of the driveway. One was in the trees and I couldn’t get a good picture and just as I got my camera ready, they all turned and ran.
It’s so hard for me to leave home and I’ll think of every excuse in the world not to have to leave. I know I have to take Rita to Abilene once a month but it’s all I can do to get myself out the door and on the road. Yesterday morning, briefly, I hoped I couldn’t find my car keys . . I would have to stay home if I had no keys!
But, when I got to the end of the driveway and those three deer were standing there looking at me .. it was like they were saying “Good morning! Have a safe trip!” It made me smile and I was happy my keys weren’t lost and I was on my way to Abilene.

Yes, that sounds like me. I can plan a trip, pack for it and want to cancel it. Once I get away from the house I am ok and always have a good time.

Uh oh! Did you tell them to watch out for Vince? Is it deer season yet?
Erin Bennett says
Did you look up what that couldn’t mean? Old wives tales .. spirits are with you.. thinking of you if they look directly at you.. good sign from what I was told same thing happened to me here where I live we have deer .. so I choose to believe that no matter what!!
