Last night Nicole was looking for something and came across all of her old yearbooks and all of Chad’s old yearbooks. We spent quite a bit of time going through them all. Pictures of Nicole growing up that I had never seen and pictures of Chad growing up Nicole had never seen.
Addie was so astonished and argued with us with each and every picture . . that is NOT my mom/dad!
Chad – 3rd grade
This was one of my favorite pictures of Chad. He was in the third grade and was such a sweet boy.
When I tell her she’s my sweet baby girl, she’ll always say “I’m not a baby!” and I tell her “You’ll always be my baby, just like your dad will always be my little boy!” When she looked at that third grade picture, she said “He WAS a little boy!” I guess in a child’s eyes, their parents have always been adults. It’s so fun to talk to her and get an understanding of how she sees things and how she thinks.

the 4 year old granddaughter still hasn’t grasped time concepts and talks about when she was older or when she gets to be 2 like the little sister. It is a lot of fun trying to explain to her. She also thinks it is amazing when gramma knows something she doesn’t.
