Vince is not much of a talker under good circumstances. He says it’s because he never has a chance to talk because I’m always talking. Maybe . . or maybe not.
He has an iPhone that’s his work phone. We both have Samsung phones for our personal phones. His has unlimited data. Mine does not. Vince doesn’t use either phone. He doesn’t text. He doesn’t use his phone for internet. He doesn’t take pictures. Before I left on my trip, I asked him if I could take his Samsung in case I had to use it for a hot spot. I wasn’t sure about being able to connect to the internet at my uncle’s and I wasn’t going to make a big deal out of getting connected there. They had enough to deal with and didn’t need my internet addiction added to their issues. At one point Chad had some service that when you went over a certain amount of whatever, it slowed way down and I wasn’t going to risk getting here for a week and not having internet.
At home, our “house” phone is Magic Jack and it’s not Magic Jack’s fault but half the time, that phone doesn’t work. We have to reboot the router or do something to get it to work again. I had tried to call Vince Monday on the home phone and it wasn’t working. I told him “Can you fix the Magic Jack phone? It isn’t working.” He said “I’ll do it later” and I knew that meant . . when I get home, I’ll fix the Magic Jack phone . . or not! That’s the phone that gets telemarketer calls and that’s about all.
Yesterday I called Vince at work about 3. He said he was busy and would call me back. He didn’t. I started trying to call him at home on his iPhone about 5:30. It went straight to voice mail. I called several times and it went straight to voice mail. By about 7:00, I was getting concerned. About 8, he sent me an email and said his iPhone wasn’t connecting to the microcell. He had rebooted everything, reset the microcell and it still wasn’t working.
This morning, I tried is iPhone again. Still went to voice mail. Then I got this email from him:
Email from Vince: We are alive and well Will try to get it to help with phone today.
About two minutes later, he called from his work phone. We were talking and he kept saying “Are you there?” Then he said “I think I have a bad wire in this phone!” WHAT? The home phone doesn’t work. The iPhone doesn’t work. The work phone doesn’t work!
I said “Vince! You have three phones and none of them are working?” He said “Well, YOU have my good phone!” I’m getting the feeling he doesn’t want to talk to me. 🙁

Att had a major outage so if it’s that shut off iPhone and turn back on even twice

That’s exactly what it was. Vince found out when he got to work since everyone there uses AT&T. My phone didn’t seem to be affected.

You guys are so funny!

I could have written almost the same post, but would have changed hubby’s name. In an emergency it is somewhat comforting to know “someone” is just a call away. What I usually hear “I was busy”.

Seems like you are the one who needs the phone with the unlimited data plan on it, not your hubby. Glad the outage wasn’t his fault.
