This morning I fed the sourdough and decided to make bread, cinnamon rolls and biscuits. I had the bread dough almost done, the cinnamon rolls stirred up and the dry ingredients measured for the biscuits.
That’s when Chad decided it was a good time to finish butchering his deer. He had quartered it and put it on ice but this morning it just HAD to be finished . . right when I was trying to get things done. He said “I’ll only take up one little corner of the counter.” You can guess how that went. He was working on the left of me. Nicole was vacuum sealing on the right side of me.
Speck was in the middle of the kitchen floor waiting for anyone to drop something . . meat, bread dough, bacon . . it didn’t matter . . he wasn’t moving far away.
We all managed to get it done. Breakfast made. Cinnamon rolls done. Bread done. Venison vacuum sealed and in the freezer. You may notice even a bit of venison got included in our breakfast.

Family working together. I have this problem often in my house. I can start something in the kitchen and my husband has to have something out of the cabinet over my head or warm a cup of coffee. We have a very small kitchen. Feel your pain.

Is it just a man thing don’t they all do it? I have what I call a “one butt” kitchen. Only really room for one cooking so I just tell everyone to let me do it. Just about the time I start doing something “someone” wants to come in and get something or thinks i am in his way! LOL Oh well, I sure would miss him if he wasn’t here!
