It was probably four years ago that Vince and I were visiting my aunt and uncle and Vince and Bandit bonded right off the bat. Bandit is a sweet dog but not real outgoing and doesn’t take to strangers. He isn’t snippy and for the most part, doesn’t bite but I wouldn’t want to try to take him from my aunt or uncle’s arms. Right off the bat, he loved Vince the first time they met. When we left, Vince said “I want a chihuahua just like Bandit!” I had never really known a chihuahua but I had no desire to have one. Then, along came Rita and we had a chihuahua. I thought it was so funny that Vince wanted a chihuahua and then she showed up. I guess it’s true . . be careful what you ask for!
I had to laugh and old Bandit this morning.
I was home alone with the dogs. Everyone had left and I was making sure they were all inside and accounted for. I found Sunshine. I found Muffin but I couldn’t find Bandit. I called him and he didn’t come. Then I head him snoring and that lead me to him but he had no desire to get out of bed. You can see on the bedside clock that it’s just a little before 7. Everyone else had been up since a little after 5. It’s after 7:30 now. Bandit went outside and is back in bed.
I think he has it right . . I’m thinking about going back to bed myself. My uncle is so funny. My aunt has always done everything for him. He wanted to be up at 5:30 this morning. When he started to go to bed last night, he said “Will you wake me up at 5:30?” ME? 5:30? A.M.? I set my phone, my tablet and a real clock to go off at 5:20 just to be sure I got up but at 5:05, I heard him up so I got up. He said he didn’t sleep much so he had gone out to get the newspaper, which is probably what I heard.
I do believe there’s going to be a nap for me at some point today.

Bandit is a cutie. I love Chihuahuas but they are their own dog and you are only there to serve them.

Friends and family know better than to ask me to wake them up before 8. LOL I just went to a quilting workshop out of state and my friend/roommate was afraid to wake me up at 6 which is when we needed to get up. Even my husband stands back to poke the bear prior to 8am. Of course, in my defense, I don’t go to bed before 11, sometimes 1AM.
