Some days, you accidentally on purpose make a bit too much bread dough so you can make cinnamon rolls.
Same exact dough . . just configure them a bit differently. I made 9 little mini cinnamon rolls from the excess dough.
Bread turned out perfect but the cinnamon rolls . .
This is the reason I should never have revived that sourdough starter. Cinnamon rolls made from sourdough have just that little bit of sourness, mixed with the sweetness from the cinnamon/sugar filling. Oh, they are so good.
Still warm . . with the icing. A good wife would wait til her husband got home and enjoy them together but, I am not that good of a wife.
I ate that one little cinnamon roll and I thought to myself . . I have three choices:
- Stop with just one. That leaves eight.
- Eat them all and never mention to Vince that I made them.
- Eat the all and hurry up and make more before he gets home.
What do you think I did? It wasn’t easy but I chose option 1.

When it comes to cinnamon rolls, I don’t think any wife is good enough to wait for hubby…LOL (I wouldn’t be)

after all, you have to check and make sure they’re good. You don’t want to make your husband eat anything that’s not yummy…

Mmmmmmm, those look wonderful! Which of your sourdough recipes do you prefer for loaves made in the loaf pan and for cinnamon rolls? I have some rustic sourdough raising right now, but I don’t think it would work for the rolls. I love sourdough, especially this time of year!

That way you left an even number of rolls left – 4 for each of you! Lol!

Such a good woman. Showing remarkable restraint (after you had eaten one, of course!) I am proud of you and you made me laugh 🙂 Thanks!

My husband always has to taste the corner piece of brownies, sheet cakes, etc. He calls it “quality control!’
