One thing about living here that still surprises me is the temperature swings. It’s nothing to have a 50 or 60 degree swing over a 48 or even a 24 hour period.

Thursday’s high will be 85° and Friday’s low will be 31° and windy. AC on Thursday, heater on Friday . . unless I have my way. I’ll be sleeping with the windows open and extra quilts on the bed.
After that one cold night, the temps will go back to our normals for this time of year . . low 80’s to upper 70’s during the day and 50’s during the night.
If we had these kinds of temps all year, I would be a happy Texan! Surely with these temps, we’d have less spiders, snakes, scorpions . . maybe?

I think your hope that the snakes and other varmints would be gone is only a pipe dream…. Sorry to say, they’re a lot more adapted to those weather conditions than you are!! 🙂 Enjoy your warmth while those of us in the North are finally seeing Fall weather…. Our high tomorrow is supposed to be only 47! Yuck!!!
