A very dear friend (who I hope isn’t reading this post but even if she is, she won’t know it’s for her) is a huge LSU fan. I asked my favorite yarn dyer to dye yarn in LSU colors and this is what she made.
Purple and Gold
I wanted a big skein (875 yards) of wool/silk but she wanted to dye a test on a smaller skein of wool so I told her I would take this one too. I guess two of my friends are going to be getting LSU colored shawls! Can’t say when . . but sometime soon I hope!

Those are such beautiful colors together. I have no connection to LSU, but purples are my favorite and gold looks good with purple. lol Your friends will love their gifts.
