Speck, as I think is true of most dachshunds, loves to sleep completely covered up. When he was a puppy, we would put his sheet in the dryer before bed time, then toss the warm sheet in his crate and he would dive in, wrap himself up and go to sleep.
He still loves to be covered up completely but, being a very old guy, what he thinks isn’t always correct.
He thinks he’s covered up. I’m not brave enough to try to grab his covers and get him covered up correctly. He has that look . . I dare you to touch me or my blanket!
As long as he’s happy . . I’m happy!

too funny, just like my Qtip, he loves to be covered and loves chewing holes in his ‘nankie’. He is an American Eskimo/Belgian Sheppard cross. Love reading about your fur babies

I have 6 Dachshunds and all 6 love to burrow under their blankies. They range in age from 2 to 16.

Oh my gosh he is adorable he needs to have the Devils ears attached to that – when he is mad they stand up! When he is happy they sparkle …too bad something like that couldn’t be invented for us pet owners huh

Too funny and too cute!

He may be grumpy, but he sure is cute in that picture. My parents had a cat that liked to “hide” under furniture. She always thought we couldn’t see her, but she always left her tail sticking out. It was so funny. She would have her body all the way under something and there would be a fluffy tail…
