Cat spends her day and a big part of her night on top of my car. My car is in the shop and Cat is so frustrated. She walks around like she doesn’t have a clue which direction she should go. There are several bales of hay under the carport next to where my car sits and she sometimes sleeps on those but I guess just having my car not there has her whole routine screwed up.
When she walks up to me, she takes her sweet time. Always . . every single time . . right before she gets to me, she stops and stretches, takes a few steps, stops and stretches. It’s like she’s thinking . . I’ll make you wait . . and you will wait . . because I’m the boss!
I wish I could get a good picture of her. She’s so pretty. Her coat is thick and shiny.
She can be an obnoxious cat! I guess that’s the nature of a cat. In the mornings, Vince leaves about 6:45. When it’s daylight early, I’m out the door right behind him. I take care of the two coops of chickens. Cat follows me from coop to coop. Then we go back to the shop and I feed Cat and pet her while she eats. Now, it isn’t daylight til about 7:45. From the time Vince leaves til I go out, Cat sits on the back porch and meows. The meows at first are like . . I’m out here . . I’m hungry! After a while, it’s like . . I’m going to huff and puff and blow your door down if you don’t get out here and feed me .. NOW! I told Vince tonight . . this weekend, don’t go out right off the bat. Sit and wait and see if she does it to you (because he usually goes out and lets the chickens out and feeds Cat on weekends). He doesn’t think she’ll do it. He thinks him going out and leaving is her queue that it’s time to be fed.
We’ll see!
I keep reminding Cat that it wasn’t that long ago she was living out in the woods dodging coyotes and hunting for her food and she shouldn’t be so demanding!

“I guess that’s the nature of a cat.” Especially tortoiseshells. When I told my brother I wanted a tortie, he was surprised, because they can be weird or obnoxious.
That thick shiny coat is a sign of the good life she’s living.

I rescued a cat this summer with the same coloring who definitely has a weird and obnoxious attitude. I didn’t realize they are called tortoiseshells. Thanks for the info. Mine also meows until I feed her. She also refuses to eat the crumbs from the bottom of the bowl. I just feed them to the dog. 🙂

She’s really enjoying her life and KNOWS she is ‘the boss’. Very beautiful coat and getting treated well. The cats run the show. I really miss all three of mine but no more pets. I enjoy reading about yours. Boots, Rita, Speck, and CAT.

My daughter and I were just talking about the cat. She said they have only found one male in the US in her breed. That they are always females. Thought you might find that interesting. Daughter love this breed she has 2 right now.
Cats rule the roost where ever they are. It is look at me aren’t you glad you are my owner? Aren’t I the greatest?

I love cats. I miss having one of my own, but I couldn’t do an indoor cat because of my allergies, and I’m not home enough for an outdoor cat to get much attention.
