Yep, another project I can’t show yet and I’m not sure when the pattern will be released but this is another quick knit. All knits and no purls .. my favorite kind of knitting.
Shawls, wraps and socks are my favorite adult type things to knit. Socks are pretty mindless, especially plain, vanilla socks. I can do that in the car or while visiting. Shawls and wraps are so wearable. Even here where it’s seldom cold enough for a coat, a shawl can easily be tucked into a bag and draped over my shoulders in a chilly restaurant, theater or meeting. Almost every building around here is freezing in the summer. It’s amazing the amount of warmth even a lacy, open shawl can provide.
These are the yarns I’m using though if you number the small skeins 1 – 6 in the photo below, the order in which I’m using them is 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, 4.
Since the yarns on the far right and far left will be next to each other, I was concerned that they would blend so I did a black and white view and decided they would be ok next to each other.
It would have been nice if they were next to each other in the photo, but they aren’t!
Here’s a smidgen of what they look like together.
This project has a bit of “fade” to it so I think the colors are working nicely together.

Your love of knitting is inspiring. Wish my hand and brain played better together, but never enjoyed knitting. My main problem is binding off. A nice warm shawl is autumn colors sounds wonderfully warm to this cold-natured person.

I can show you how to do it . . in 5 minutes!

Do you get to pick the colors on test knits, or does the designer specify what to use?
Judy Laquidara says
What are you thinking? Those colors are horrible? I picked them so please say they’re lovely! 🙂

I’m not the one who asked about your color choices.
These are one of my VERY favorites of your color choices for any projects I’ve seen you make.
(and color is my middle name)

Love, love, love this color combo!
