Chad, Nicole and Addie should about have their fill of fishing by the time they leave Louisiana some time today.
My uncle had made arrangements for them to fish at someone’s fishing pier on Lake Charles. They had wanted to night fish so Friday night, they fished way later than I would have liked, considering they still had over 2 hours to drive back to where they were staying.
Addie cannot sit still to save her life . . unless she’s fishing. I wonder if it would be acceptable for her to sit in her desk at school and hold a fishing pole! 🙂
How can a busy, active little child love to sit and fish for hours? Think how many 5 year olds have never been fishing. Of course, city folks are probably lamenting about how many 5 year olds have never done the things they do too.
She’s been fishing since she was old enough to walk.
I think she expects bigger fish these days but she never gets tired of fishing.
There she was . . night fishing on the dock and looking pretty proud of her catch!

Three cheers for fishing and you NEVER get your fill! We’re a fishing family too. I’ve probably posted about it. I’ll have to check. Addie’s a lucky girl! I know our kids were at least 6 before they rode an elevator and my mom was so upset. She thought we were sheltering them from experiences. Ummm…where are we going to find an elevator when we live on on an 8 mile mountain road? Much better to have a view from the top of the mountain than from the top of a city building. 🙂 Love those photos of Addie! I posted a picture of our kids with a string of fish on Instagram with #huckfinnchildhood. Chad and Nicole are giving Addie that precious gift.

I would much rather have a five year old outdoors fishing and enjoying nature than sitting in front of the tv or playing video games for hours! Addie is very fortunate!

What’s the difference between day and night fishing (besides the fact that the sun is down and the moon is up..HA)? Are they taking a bunch home with them? My nephew LOVES to fish and at 12 was in a fishing tourney yesterday (but caught nothing..poor thing). He’s like your kids, could spend all day fishing. His brother has other interests like making things.

Great pictures – and, it’s so nice to see kids in the “great outdoors”.
