When Chad, Nicole and Addie were here in July, I tried to get Addie to eat oatmeal and she wouldn’t . . said she didn’t like it. Monday Nicole called and said “Addie wants to tell you something.” Addie said “Granny! I ate oatmeal.” Nicole said “Yes, like two weeks ago!” but she just remembered she wanted to tell me that she had eaten some.
Addie keeps wanting me to come visit and I will go in probably late October or the first part of November but my car is making a noise and, like always, it won’t make it for the mechanic so I’m still trying to get it fixed. They’re going to Louisiana soon and wanted me to meet them there and I told them I don’t want to go that far til the mechanic hears the noise and fixes it. Addie called me today . .
Addie: Granny! When your car stops making noise, will you PLEASE come to my house?
Me: Yes! As soon as it gets fixed, the first place I will go is to come see you!
Addie: Granny! Don’t forget to sleep with me while you’re here!
Me: Oh, I would never forget that!
Of course I wouldn’t forget it . . it’s either sleep with Addie or sleep on the sofa with the Speck, the Husky dog!
It’s so funny that she talks so much and every time she says “Granny”, it’s more like a question and I think she’s halfway stalling because she isn’t quite sure what she’s going to say next. I love talking to her but . . I would love it a whole lot more if I could be hugging her while I’m talking to her!

She would probably love it a whole lot more, too. =) No chance of renting a car?

Anything our grandchildren say is important especially the way they express themselves. Ours can say anything and we listen like it’s Gosple. Seeing them 2-3 times/yr is not enough. Thank goodness for Skipe.
