There really wasn’t a lot of knitting time this week. Vince took off Monday. Tuesday was my knitting with the group day and there’s always more talking than knitting, Wednesday was the eye doctor and grocery shopping . . the week just slipped by too quickly.
Patterns Added:
This was a good week for patterns!
- Purlbreak – This is an updated/improved version of Stephen West’s very popular Daybreak Shawl.
- Nor’easter – This is an updated version of Thea Colman’s Dark & Stormy, which I purchased in January, 2014 but there were a couple of things about it that I wanted to change. Nor’easter has made all the changes I wanted to make.
- Sweatshirt Sweater – (Free when I got mine earlier this week.) Cannot wait to make this. I’ll probably leave off the pouch . . at least off the first one.
- True Colors – Another one I can’t wait to make.
- Faded Leftovers Hat – (Free when I got mine earlier this week.)
- The Elm Road Hat – (Free when I got mine earlier this week.) This uses bulky weight yarn and should knit up really quickly.
- Ice Cube Hat – (Free when I got mine earlier this week.) Reversible hat knit with worsted weight.
- Lilac Lace Shawl – Looks very pretty and feminine with both written and charted pattern.
Yarn Added:
The yarn possibilities for Sweet Georgia’s Mystery Knit Along.
and
Still haven’t made a decision as to what I’ll use.
The Miss Babs yarn for True Colors.
Projects I Worked On:
A bit more progress on Sunset Highway. I had wanted to get 4″ done but didn’t get that much. This is the picture from last week.
I had wanted to get past the heel turn on Choco Rainbow Socks and I got those finished!
My biggest accomplishment . . I got the hard part of Addie’s sweater done. The button bands still have to be done but I don’t even need the pattern to do that. One sleeve is seamed. There are still a million ends to weave in but this one is almost done.
I made good progress on Linho. I’m hoping to get the body part done by the end of the weekend and then next week finish the sleeves so that I’ll have it finished by next week’s knitting report.
Knitting Plans for this Week:
- Get started on a test knit project.
- Cast past sleeve separation on Longline Cardi.
- Get the body of Linho done and maybe the sleeves too.
- Finish Addie’s Rainbow sweater except for buttons.
Please share your knitting report.

Thanks for the Sweatshirt sweater link, it looks like its very comfortable. I didn’t knit much this week either, but I’m in the process of moving my yarn inventory to my sewing room. I think I will be delving into that yarn for the next few projects LOL.
