Thanks to my sweet blog reader who sent 7 little purple hats, my friend met her goal of 25 hats to send to Oklahoma for the CLICK for Babies campaign.
This lady helps so many people and donates her time to so many projects. She’s one of those people who is happiest when she’s doing something for someone else. I’m happy to have her as my friend and I’m happy that my blog friend was able to help her meet her goal of 25 hats to send. She had planned to spend her entire time at the retreat knitting purple hats and when I handed her the seven little hats, I thought she was going to cry. She had 3 or 4 more to make so she got those made and then spent the rest of her time learning to knit.
Our little knitting group meets every Tuesday and it’s pretty amazing how people from all different walks of life, different religious and political beliefs, some married, some not; some with children and grandchildren; some not . . but our love for knitting and needle arts brings us together once a week . . a time we look forward to spending together.
