Another Mystery KAL

Yes, I said I was done with mystery knit alongs but . . I was wrong!

Last week while at the retreat, Eat, Sleep, Knit posted about Sweet Georgia’s Knit Along and if you ordered yarn, you got an extra star for your team. Yes, we’re adults (most days) but a star for our team . . three skeins of yarn . . YES! I can do that. But the yarn had to be ordered that day in order to get the star. I was at the retreat and had no internet. Trying to order yarn on my phone is not easy. I can’t see the colors well. I punch the wrong buttons. I wasn’t even sure what I ended up ordering but . . I got that star!

The pattern is Cederberg Mystery. The first clue comes out October 10 so you still have time to get your three skeins of yarn and knit along with us!

After I got home, I looked at the yarn I’d ordered, and then I looked at kit suggestions on Sweet Georgia’s website and I wasn’t sure about my choices so . . what’s a yarn obsessed girl to do? Order more yarn. Yes!

The yarn has now arrived and I’m still not sure what I’m going to use but I have three weeks to think about it.

Looking at all the yarns together, I think the peachy color in the second grouping looks better than the natural in the first grouping.

And, the natural looks better in place of the peach in the second grouping.

 

There’s some deep purple in that center skein on the other side. In the kits at Sweet Georgia’s site I noticed that the colors aren’t always matchy matchy and it isn’t like light, medium and dark so . . I’m totally confused. I ordered a light peach to try swapping out with the natural and a deep purple to try swapping out with the periwinkle blue. Who knows (1) how much yarn I’ll order between now and October 10 and (2) what I’ll decide to use!
