I love the look of colorwork but I don’t like doing it . . not one little bit. I can handle a few rows. Addie’s sheep weren’t too bad . . but Sunset Highway! Oh, my . . there were 360 stitches on the needles and 46 rows of colorwork. That was way beyond my level of patience for colorwork.
It is supposed to be a loose fitting pullover and I think I’m going to love it. I’m down to just knitting in the round now. I didn’t think I was going to make it to that point but I did. Perseverance!
The pattern calls for colorwork on the sleeves. There are only 29 rows of colorwork and less than 75 stitches per sleeve, so that’s about 150 stitches in reality. I had said I wasn’t going to do the colorwork on the sleeves, just because I’m not sure how I’ll like the feel. The colorwork is barely below the elbow and I’m thinking I may not like the feel of the extra yarn there and since I’m always pushing my sleeves up, the extra yarn may interfere with the sleeves staying pushed up.
I have a while before I have to make that decision but right now, I’m saying no to colorwork on the sleeves.

Those colors work so well together. I love the way the main color picks up the other colors. It’s going to be beautiful.
