The other day when I mentioned about my knitting friend making purple hats for the Shaken Baby Syndrome Campaign, one of my amazing readers contacted me to see if she could make a few hats to send. Of course! We’ve been in contact back and forth so I knew yesterday that the hats were arriving.
The little pom poms are a little scrunched from the trip through the mail but they are adorable! Considering my dislike for making pom poms, I’m pretty impressed with those!
My friend wanted to have at least 25 to send and if I remember correctly (doubtful), she had done 12 a couple of weeks ago and is probably getting close to 25 now, will be so surprised when I hand her these hats and she goes well over her planned 25. I will see her this evening. I will try to get a picture of all the purple hats together.
Thanks, Sue! You’re an amazingly generous and talented friend and I know my knitting friend here is going to be shocked (in a wonderful way) that you’ve done this to help her meet her goal.

What a great cause to donate too. My BFF’s grandson was a victim at 7 months old. He is now 7 years old, can somewhat walk, is completely blind, limited speech, still in diapers, and and needs constant care. The babysitter finally went to prison last year and will serve only 7 years. Yet the parents life will never be normal.

That is such a nice thing to do. Do you know if they have a cut-off deadline? I don’t remember one, but maybe there is?
