Pillows matter to me. I am pretty picky about my pillow, but yet I can sleep using anything for a pillow . . my arm, a folded towel, a bag of yarn. The minute my head hits the pillow, I’m gone, and I never wake up during the night. Poor Vince .. he has a hard time going to sleep and he wakes up so many times every night. Once I’m asleep, nothing wakes me up. Thunder wakes Rita and then she comes into our room but Vince says he hears her the minute she gets up. She will come into our room, he will get up with her and I never hear anything.
The pillows I’ve been using were some type of memory foam and I loved them. Every time Chad and Nicole are here, they use them and threaten to take them.
I kept hearing the ads on the radio for My Pillow. I had never seen one until we were at my aunt and uncle’s in the spring. He sleeps with one and was telling me how much he loved it. I felt it and was surprised that it seemed so lumpy. I’m used to memory foam type pillows but ever since I felt his pillow, I keep remembering the feather pillows my grandma had and I loved those pillows and I love those memories.
With our pillows, I keep them in a zippered case, and we have a pillow case on top of that but not being able to easily wash those foam pillows . . that kinda bothers me. The part of the My Pillow ad that convinced me to try them was that they are machine washable. So . . I ordered them. I got the 4-pack (two queen pillows and two travel pillows). For the full size pillows, I debated about getting firm or medium. I almost ordered one firm and one medium but in the end, decided on two mediums.
Here’s where I don’t know if I’m crazy or not . . I love the pillow. It’s actually like floating. But is it really that great or have I fallen for their commercials? I don’t know. I guess I don’t care. Every night when I start to go to bed, I’m looking forward to laying my head on the pillow and I stop and ask myself . . really? Is it as good as I think it is? I don’t know but I do love that pillow! I keep trying to get Vince to try it and see what he thinks. Maybe some day he’ll use it.
But . . I decided I’d rather have a firm pillow so I sent back the medium pillow I had not even opened and got a firm. Last night was the first night I had used it. Oh, my . . that is the perfect pillow for me. It truly has to feel just like it would feel to sleep on a cloud.
My Pillow really brags about their customer service. I was not overly impressed last week because I called about returning the pillow. They told me they would send me a shipping label so I could return the pillow (they did and I did) and they would ship out my new pillow “tomorrow”. I waited and waited and when I finally called them about 7 days later to see about getting tracking info, they had somehow not shipped my pillow so they got it shipped right out, sent it express and it was received. That’s not the end of the world and doesn’t indicate that they don’t have good customer service. I’m thrilled with their pillows and I’m now happy with their customer service.
If you’ve ever thought of ordering one (or buying one when you see them retail), do it. You can return them if you don’t like them but I think you’ll love them!
BTW, no affiliation. I don’t get a dime even if you order a truck load of them.

I have a medium My Pillow love it and just said to hubby want a firm one .. to try .. I have had mine a year now and honestly it’s the first pillow I am not tired of. I am glad you have it and like it! I was going through honestly four pillows a year! Hated every one.

I bought a medium a firm one last year at a county fair. I do not really like them…not sure why. I bought the firm for my husband, because he is pretty broad shouldered and usually sleeps on his side. He doesn’t care for the firm, but does like the medium. Interesting to hear your take about liking the firm pillow.

Glad to hear someone has actually used the pillows. Each time those commercials come on and they say something about My pillow–we all yell at the TV I don’t want Your Pillow I want My Pillow. I know they sell them at Bed Bath and Beyond also. I have seen them at HEB also. Mgiht have to try one. Thanks for sharing the info.

Interesting – I looked into these after seeing an infomercial at work one night. Seems like they are truly a love/hate deal…..you either love them or you hate them. Not sure that I love the price tho!

How did you determine which is the firmest.?I only see color levels.
Sherrill says
When I ordered from their website, there were a few questions you answered to determine which was right for you. I bought one for me (I was deemed a medium) and one for my son (he was a firm). I really don’t notice much of a difference because I slept on mine for awhile (it was just so so) and then my son said he didn’t like his so I swapped with him and he liked the medium but the firm was no different to me than the medium. I’m not impressed..I guess maybe they’re better than some and not as good as others. But they just don’t do it for me. I know LOTS of people love theirs but maybe it’s my difficulty in sleeping like Vince. I take sleep medicine every night and there are times when I can take my pill and still be awake two hours later. Mine would not be a raving good ad for My Pillow, just an eh.

I bought a My Pillow (medium) about a year ago for both my mom and me. We love them! I used to use a feather pillow which I also loved but realized my allergies are so much better with the My Pillow. I bought from QVC when they were on the Today’s Special and got a really good price.
I was wondering with Vince’s light sleeping if he should check into a sleep study to see if he has sleep apnea? I was so exhausted for years and my doctor suggested a sleep study. I thought I was just a light sleeper. Turns out I had severe sleep apnea so I never got into a deep restorative sleep at night. I decided to give a CPAP machine a try (what did I have to lose) even though I was convinced that it would make it even more difficult to sleep. First night I got four hours of solid deep sleep. Literally I felt like a new person the next day. Now I always get a good seven hours of deep sleep. I would not give up my CPAP for anything. Worth looking into for Vince.

We bought My Pillows several years ago at a home show here in Phoenix. I have the medium and my husband the firm. We really liked them at first but now my husband won’t use his and I no longer find mine as comfortable as I used to. I am trying to decide what I want to try next. These pillows were very expensive and I am disappointed but I wake up with headaches every day now as my head seems to be resting in a wrong position. Before we bought these pillows, we had memory foam pillows which I disliked. For years I used to have regular old foam pillows and I am thinking of going back to those, if I can find them. The only thing I really like about the My Pillows is that I can throw them in the washing machine.

before the flood I had a great pillow. Of course it got wet. So have gone thru a string of lousy pillows. Been thinking of ordering
one of the My Pillows. Just may do so now.

Thank you for the pillow review! Thank you for trying all these things I’m curious about and reporting on them! BTW, do you have an opinion yet on the plastic ware you purchased that was supposed to keep things fresher? Thanks! I was waiting to hear your opinion before I purchased them. And also BTW, you emailed me about your favorite usable shawl patterns, and I made one and I’m almost done with the second. So far, I love them, but I haven’t been able to give them much of a practical trial since it’s still summer. But I sure enjoyed making them!

For insomnia, my naturapath doctor suggested taking a Calcium/Magnesium combination supplement about 30 minutes before bedtime. He also said if someone has difficulty falling back to sleep after a middle of the night bathroom break, to take more Calcium/Magnesium (to replace what was just eliminated). He said some people need a 1:1 ratio, some need 2:1, and some need 3:1 ratio.
I really like Jarrow (brand) “Bone-Up”. It has a Calcium:Magnesium ratio of 2.4:1 (plus a few other ingredients).
I used to lie awake for 2-3 hours. Now, when I take 3 of these, I’m asleep within a couple of minutes. And, sleep well for 6-7 hours. His suggestion has restored my sleep.

I was surprised at the lumpiness, but love to sleep on my My Pillow.

I tried one – didn’t like it and had to contact them several times because the return shipping label seemed to be missing in action. Annoying but not the end of the world – it all got straightened out in the end to my satisfaction. My parents got them – Mom loves hers, Dad does not. Pillows are such an annoying thing to have to replace because you can never find back that one kind you really liked. I now have five pillows on my bed – all different kinds. 🙂 I mix and match for what I want – to sleep or to prop up and read in bed, etc.

I suffer from insomnia and take medication for it, so I’m always on the hunt for a cure. Husband and I felt the My Pillows at BB&B…didn’t even like the feel of them. Years ago I tried a Bamboo Pillow and have stuck with one since. Every Time it’s time for a new pillow I end up with a new Bamboo Pillow. Still have my insomnia but better sleep than any other pillow.

I have a My Pillow also. I got it about a year ago when Costco had them as a traveling road show. I figured its easy to return to Costco, so why not try it. I love it ! And they’re easy to wash and dry. My old memory foam pillow that cost over $100 lost it’s support and didn’t last as long as the My Pilow is supposed to last.

We love them, i bought 2 & then got 2 more & 2 travel size, 6 for the two of us, lol!

My mom got me one of these, because we have a friend who raved about them. I think she got me the firm. I can’t stand it. DH tried it and said meh. I found it weird and lumpy. Medium would have been better, maybe.

I’m picky about my pillows too. Loved down for years, but tried the memory foam ones (4 of them) when we bought a mattress. My husband and I both quit using ours (too hard) and my daughter took mine because was the ‘chilling’ version. It helps with her headaches. Son loves his. Tried my mom’s My Pillow (which she LOVES!) and I didn’t care for it. I finally found a bamboo down-alternative pillow I love and my hubby is still switching out pillows almost nightly to find his best sleep. Feels like we’re all princesses trying to find the pea. LOL!

Love My Pillow. Have used them for going on 4 years and still love it. I used to purchase new ones at least once a year if not sooner because they would all get flat. Didn’t matter if I paid big money or if they were cheap. Found it frustrating to be so unhappy with the pillow situation but now with My Pillow I’m one happy camper.
