Yesterday I was watching knitting podcasts. I really love the ones with video but sometimes I will listen to the audio only podcasts. I love seeing what the various knitters are working on. There is a downside though. Amazing hand dyers send the more popular podcast people (spellcheck says podcasters and podcastors are both spelled incorrectly so I’ll just go with “podcast people”) their newest yarns to show and try and I want it all! Watch 10 or 12 podcasts each week and have them each show half a dozen yarns and I’m in big trouble. I do want it all.
While watching Tanis Fiber Arts podcast #3, both Tanis and Sam were making a Puntilla by . . who else . . Joji! Of course I had to have it. Look at the pattern . . just click on the link . . I’ll wait right here while you go look at it.
Don’t you love it? Me too. I can see myself wearing that a lot! Readers ask me all the time if I wear my sweaters very much. YES! We don’t get enough cold to need heavy coats so sweaters are quite useful here. I like cardigans because I can take them off when I get warm but I also love pullovers because most of them, I can put on over an old T-shirt if I’m just puttering around the house and Vince wants to go somewhere. I don’t have to stop and get completely re-dressed to look presentable.
Remember the yarn I ordered a week or so ago and either didn’t have a plan for it or forgot the plan . .
It will be perfect for this sweater. And remember the one skein of Odyssey? It will be great for the trim.
Or, for the trim, I could use gold. I have a skein of Twist Light in Liquid Gold. I can decide on the trim color later.
I spend too much time on Ravelry and I’m always surprised when I see a pattern by one of my favorite designers that’s been around for a while and I haven’t seen it before. I’m happy to have Puntilla in my library and am hoping to get started knitting it soon.

Gorgeous color combination. Can’t wait to see this cardigan!

That sweater looks great. I like the darker trim for the trim. I don’t think the gold you mentioned will have the “pop” factor that the dark blue will (just my personal opinion and, of course, you can do whatever you want!!!!).

I do love this sweater…although like you I tend to wear cardigans year round. That way I can get out of them when I have a power surge! Actually I have nerve damage from shingles and it seems to have wiped out my thermostat. I go from hot to cold in nanoseconds, repeatedly. 🙂 Even so, I’ve put this one in my library just in case!
