I think I need a padded suit. If it’s not my knee, it’s my foot, and if it’s not my foot, it’s my toe.
This morning I was walking outside, wearing flip flops (I know . . don’t tell me I shouldn’t be wearing them!) . I was on the driveway and I thought I just stepped on a rock wrong. I didn’t jam my toe. I don’t even think anything hit my toe. I think I simply just stepped on that rock with the flip flop and it made my toe bend the wrong way. It hurt a little but it wasn’t til after lunch that I looked down and saw that my toe was purple.
It’s been a couple of hours since I took the picture and the entire toe is purple now. It hurts to walk. I went to take a nap but even the sheet touching it hurts so I got up. I wish I liked wine . . that’s probably what I need right now but since I seem so likely to break my neck just drinking water, I’d probably be well advised to lay off the wine.
I called my friend who’s a nurse and she basically said “get over it . . it’s a toe!”

What a wonderful bedside manner your friend has!! LOL Yeah, there’s not much can be done for a broken/sprained toe. 🙁

Ice it, Ice it. Ice it! 20 minutes at a time. That’s what helped mine when I hurt mine a few weeks ago. Hope it feels better soon. NO FLIP FLOPS OUTSIDE!!

At least you did yours on a rock .. I walked into the leg of our table and “hurt” the toes next to each other on the pinky side .. Talk about feeling like duh !! Then the next week I did it on the other foot. Talk about feeling stupid, My mind was on other things than the kitchen table !
