Several have commented or written asking about using the same yarns I used. I would be honored if anyone likes my choices enough to use them. The yarn I used is all from Eat, Sleep, Knit and it’s Madelinetosh Twist Light. Tosh Merino Light would work too but you’ll need to check the colors. Some yarns take the dyes differently from others.
Who all is planning to do What the Fade? The first clue is released August 31 so we have plenty of time to get our yarn ordered and received.
One thing to know . . I believe Andrea said there is some brioche in this project. I’ve never done it but she said there will be video tutorials and she has excellent tutorials. I’m anxious to learn something new!
Once my yarn arrives, probably Monday, I’ll see how it all looks together in real life and there’s the possibility I may tweak it a bit but these are the colors I ordered and I am confident they’re going to be great for a fade project. You want a bit of blending and if tones aren’t exactly perfect, that helps with the fade so I have no reason to believe I’ll do any tweaking.

I’ve had my eye on the Yoko – looks like a fun yarn. I had been thinking about doing the MKAL but I have a love/hate relationship with the look of brioche. In some projects I love it – in others not so much so decided to just watch as the mystery progresses so I’ll be looking forward to seeing your project.
