Andrea Mowry has a new fade mystery coming up. The pattern is called What the Fade? Her patterns always have me grabbing electric colors – juice lime, bright orange, vibrant purple . . just wild colors. When I began looking for yarns to use for What the Fade?, I first went to my wild brights. Somehow, my choices morphed and this is what I ended up ordering.
I’m not sure what made me gravitate towards this subtle palette but I’m really looking forward to starting this project. The first clue doesn’t come out til August 31 so I have time to finish up a project or two before then.
The main reason I ordered yarn is because pretty much everything I could come up with was single ply and I’ve used so much of that recently, I’m wanting something with some ply/twist to it so I ordered Madelinetosh Twist Light.
Glad to have the decision made and now I can get back to my project on the needles.

I like your choices I have been looking at yarn choices trying to decide. Also too many projects so don’t know if adding another will just add to a pile ?

I’m looking forward to seeing this come together. Subtle is the right word, and I admire people who can do such gentle colorways.

So can we copy you? Or give us some hints? I’m constantly doing brights because I don’t work with subtles hardly at all. I think I’m afraid of them.
