A week or so before Addie arrived, I was so happy to look out and see the swing that Vince had put up for her. We put it up before she gets here and then take it down after she leaves.
Yesterday I walked out and the swing was down.
As I was feeling sorry for myself, missing them so badly, Nicole posted pictures of a rocket ship that her dad was making for Addie.
Knowing how happy she is and how much they enjoy their life at home makes it a bit easier for me . . I’ll always wish we were closer but it’s good to know she’s a happy little girl and having lots of fun with her parents and other grandparents.

When I read your blog, I often think of what it must have been like for our parents when we moved from PA to Connecticut. We are eight miles away from our son and his family. Husband wants to move out of CT, high taxes. I keep asking him, do you know what you would be giving up? Can you put a price on it? That picture in the rocket is precious.
