One of the Knit Alongs at Eat, Sleep, Knit this year is Persian Dreams. It’s such a beautiful pattern and some day I may do the colorwork version but for now, IF I do it at all, I’m doing solid, or almost solid hexagons. They aren’t hard but the solid version is pretty boring. We get half a star for our team for each hexagon we make. One down . . many more (or not!) to go.
I think this could be a pretty nice little throw size blanket but who knows if I’ll really make any more. I’m thinking about keeping the colors a bit “earthy” so it would work in my living room.
Eat, Sleep, Knit has such a brilliant marketing strategy. They keep us trying to earn points/stars for our teams and I love that we can use stash yarn .. so long as it came from ESK. I definitely still buy my fair share of yarn but at some point, you HAVE to use what you have . . or that’s what I’ve been told.

Who told you such a crazy thing! LOL. I tell myself I need to use what I have, and then I see yarn…ooh shiny! (Or maybe that is “ooh, yarny”)

How clever – I like the color also.
