My theory is that we don’t notice our kids growing up so quickly because we have so much going on with our parental responsibilities. Even though it seemed like just yesterday Chad was a baby, and definitely not long ago he was in high school and I was the one thinking about running away from home .. he’s all grown up now and it’s his little girl I’m watching grow up too quickly.
Look at that girl! Almost 5 years old. Eating sushi with her chopsticks . . left handed! If I had just seen that picture and not known it was Addie, I would not have recognized her . . looking so big and grown up.
Not getting to see her often, I suppose that makes it seem like she’s growing up faster than if I saw her more often. I’m working on changing that too! 🙂

She is definitely growing up fast……grandkids seem to grow up SO much faster than our kids did (until we look back and think they grew up fast, too).

She does seem to have gone from toddler to five almost overnight.

She is beautiful! I remember your first post about the phone call when she was born! About her name and the song ? How precious is she! Perfect! Never mind Chad etc years go by things get better ? Great memories created!!! Keep sharing Judy! I love seeing her!

Even if you do see them all the time, they grow up fast .. sigh .. my oldest granddaughter is married for a year already. Geesh .. just yesterday she was born…

Judy it isn’t that you live here and they live there. My granddaughter lives next door and I have the same problem. We wish we could just put a book on top of their heads and stop time. I marked on the door facing each time we could to see the growth pattern. When I moved I took it off. Oh well they can replace I couldn’t . She is now in college and still growing now into a woman and that scares me to death. So I feel your pain. Where did time go?????????

My first grandson is 7 weeks old. We’ve been visiting every 2 weeks and there’s such a change in that little span of time!
